SaaS businesses with usage-based offerings are experiencing >30% year-on-year growth compared to the ~20% of the broader SaaS space, and net revenue retention (NRR) of 120% compared to the rest of the industry’s 110%. 7 out of the 9 SaaS IPOs that had the best NRR in the last few years – the likes of Snowflake and Datadog – operated UBP models.
